MRF 2W Rally of Coimbatore 2025 the 4th Round of MRF MOGRIP-FMSCI 2W Rally Championship 2025 has been conducted successfully by the Coimbatore Auto Sports Club on Sunday, 13 th July 2025. The total distance of the route was 76.58 kms, with the Special Stage distance of 52.22 kms. This year the stages moved to a new venue, Vellalore and Chettipalayam which are much closer to the city from the traditional Kethanur village. There were 2 physical stages of 11.75 kms and 14.36 kms repeated twice. There were 89 starters and 6 competitors dropped out due to mechanical problems during the first round. There was only one dropout during the second round and 82 competitors finished the rally.
Mr. Abdul Wahid from Team Petronas TVS Racing participated in Class1,riding a TVS RTR 450cc motorcycle, and clinched the "Overall Winner of MRF 2W Rally of Coimbatore 2025 by posting a lowest penalty of 45 mins and 15 seconds. His team mate from TVS Racing, Mr. Samuel Jacob of the same class bagged the Overall Runner title with a penalty of 45 mins 24 seconds.
This years new stages gave ample scope to test the abilities of both Men and Machine by having many technical aspects in its stages. This is one of the finest event I have participated said Mr. Abdul Wahid – Overall winner.
Ms. Somyya Chaudhary, winner of Women Class said it was a very fast event. The event ran like clockwork without any delay and the hospitality was outstanding.
A.Karthick won the Star of Tamil Nadu category exclusively for riders from Tamil Nadu. Mr.Joseph Mahalson, Coimbatore District Manager, MRF Limited, were the Chief Guest for the prize distribution function which was held at KN Hall, Pattanam Sunday, 13th July 2025 at 05.00 PM.
