You are all aware that our Ajith Kumar will take part in the 2025/2026 Asian Le Mans Series with Michelin Le Mans Cup LMP3 team champions Team Virage and his team mate would be Narain Karthikeyan, the first Formula 1 driver from India.
Ok but what is Le Mans?
Le Mans refers to the 24 hours of Le Mans, the World’s oldest active endurance race held annually since 1923 near Le Mans, France. This endurance race takes place on the “Circuit de la Sarthe” which features a mix of closed public roads and a permanent racing track adding to its unique challenges. The winning team would be the one which covers the greatest distance in 24 hours.
That’s Le Mans. What is Asia Le Mans ?
The Asia Le Mans Series is a Series in Asia to foster new and emerging talent from the Asian region.
But it is not 24 hours.
In the spirit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Asian Le Mans Series features six 4-hour endurance races with driving duties shared by both professional and amateur drivers.

The Calendar for 2025/2026 is as follows
The 2025/2026 Asian Le Mans Series will begin with a double header at the Sepang International Circuit. The season concludes in the UAE with back-to-back double headers in Dubai and Yas Marina Circuit.

Race 2: Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia – 14 December 2025
Race 3: Dubai Autodrome, Dubai – 31 January 2026
Race 4: Dubai Autodrome, Dubai – 1 February 2026

Classes in Asian Le Mans Series
The class structure of the 2025/2026 Asian Le Mans Series will feature a mix of both Le Mans prototype and GT cars, something that is synonymous with Le Mans racing. There will be three classes: LMP2, LMP3, and GT.
Our Ajith would be driving in the LMP3 Class.
What is LMP3 Class ?
LMP3 was designed as a training ground for endurance racing, an arena in which drivers, team members, engineers and mechanics can develop their skills and prepare for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA World Endurance Championship. Competitive cars, an affordable budget, a straightforward mechanical set-up and technology is the backbone of the Class.
All third generation LMP3 cars are equipped with the new 3.6 litre V6 twin turbo Toyota V35A developed for racing by ORECA that delivers 470bhp. Teams can choose from four chassis – Ligier JS P325, Duqueine D09, Adess AD25 and Ginetta G61-LT-P325-EVO.
