- Sanjay Takale finishes First in Class H3 moves up on Overall Standings.
- Jatin Jain comes home in 110 th spot
- Harith Noah out of the Race due to crash on Stage 2.
Stage 3 was a long Dakar Special. The Classics had to tackle 5 Regularity Tests , 2 Navigation Tests and one Dune Test . Total competitive distance was 316 km.
No mean feat as Sanjay drove steadily and now has moved upto 21st Overall and FIRST in class H3 leading by over 567 penalties over his nearest rival.
Sanjay reported “We got stuck in the dune test but came out with a small loss of time. It was indeed a long tiring day now for some well-earned rest and dinner. Car is fine.”
In the Bikes category Daniel Sanders topped the charts followed by Edgar Canet and Ricky Brabec .In the highly competitive cars T1+ Category Seth Quintero won the stage ahead of Henk Lategan both in Toyota Hilux ahead of last years winner local Al Rajhi . But the surprise overall leader tonight is 4 time winner Naser Al Atayah ( Dacia). Team Mate and favourite Sebastien Loeb moved upto 5th position.
Tomorrow 6th Jan is Stage 4 – Al ULA to AL ULA distance of 266 km split into 3 RT . One of them is a massive 100km. Imagine running on high target average speeds to the second !!
For the Dakar Race it’s a massive 421 km Special.
