Bengaluru, 10 December 2025: Karnataka Motor Sports Club (KMSC) will showcase a fresh, technically demanding route for the 49th Karnataka 1000 Rally (K1000), the fourth round of the Blueband Sports FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) 2025, to be held from December 12 to 14 around Tumakuru. Established in 1954 as Bangalore Motor Sports Club, KMSC has run the K1000 almost uninterrupted since 1975, reinforcing its status as India’s longest-running motorsport event.

This year’s route has been designed by Clerk of the Course and KMSC Vice-President Bhaskar Gupta, who has been creating K1000 stages for over 25 years, using about 50 per cent of new gravel roads around Tumakuru and Gubbi taluk to blend fast sections with narrow, technical stretches and changing surfaces. “Gupta has been the backbone of the K1000 route for more than two decades, and every year he finds a way to raise the bar,” said KMSC President Gautam Shantappa, praising the challenging yet safe layout that competitors expect from the iconic rally.

“KMSC ensures all stages meet FMSCI safety and regulatory standards, upholding the rally’s legacy as India’s longest-running motorsport event,” added Shantappa, himself an F1 Fire and Rescue marshal and former vice-president of the federation. Gupta said the 2025 configuration offers a fast but unforgiving character that will reward precision and reliability while remaining fair to all crews through consistent stage conditions and robust safety planning.
